Tim Goode [Engineer former Club Captain]

Tim started badminton and joined Queens when he was 14 years old after playing tennis from the age of eight. He captained the Queens BC junior team in their first season in the East Devon junior badminton league in 2000.

In 2004 Tim gained entry to the University of Bath to study Sports Engineering but continues to come back to what will always be his home club on regular basis and in holidays.
From 2007-2008 Tim was chairman of the University of Bath badminton club, the most successful University for badminton in the country, with a 200+ membership, working with national coach Pete Bush. This year was one of the clubs most successful years to date winning both men’s and women’s BUSA championship finals.
Tim has played badminton for Devon at both junior and senior levels and was part of the Queens BC men’s first team who climbed their way up from the bottom league to become division one champions of the Exeter and District League. Tim has won the Queens BC restricted adult singles champion two years running. In 2008 he captained Bath Men’s 2nd team to win the British Universities team trophy at the EIS in Sheffield.
Tim now works as an engineer and has recently been married to Laura.
