A big thank you must go out to all those who attended our 24Hr and Auction of Promises. The funds are still coming in but we know that already over £1,000 has been raised.

There were many tired players on Sunday morning but that was simply because so many just kept going all night.

Nick Masson said: 'This is definitely the best 24hr we have had with so many of the new members of the club attending. I must thank all the coaches who helped in particualr Jim Feesey, John Scase, Jan Skinner and Sarah Preece. Sarah kept going all night having only just got back from university. What a star! Our Club Captain Nick Mingo stayed the whole time and Tim Goode our Treasurer acted as hitting partner for many of the players.

One member of the club said: 'After Christmas and my birthday this is the best day of the year!'

There were so many parents who also supported so once again a very big thank you.

All the pictures taken by the professional photographer Drew Tommons should be available online by the end of the week.
