Director of Badminton & Head Coach

queens bc and Exeter University have worked together to develop a Director of Badminton and Head Coach position.
Helen Ward former England player has accepted the position and commences on Monday 21st September 2009.
The role covers both the development of queens bc and the university badminton team.
The role has been funded by queens bc Badminton England and Exeter Universtiy.
Helen's main work for the club will be continuing the implementation of the performance centre criteria.
Nick Masson (Club Chairman) said: 'This is such a fantastic opportunity for the club to move forward. Helen has gained great experience playing for England from the age of 12 years and her work within the Badminton England High Performance Centre at Bath University. This along with our partnership with Exeter University offers an exciting future for the club particuarly as we move into our tenth year as a club.'
Helen will be working at all levels throughout the club and said:
'I felt very welcome when we met up with club and committee members and now can't wait to get started'
Helen has already fed some great ideas into how we can work at the club and we look forward to working with Helen very soon.
