Over 50 players, parents and coaches attended the Queens Badminton Club Celebration evening on Friday 10th July at 6pm at the Waie Inn Zeal Monachorum.
The evening kicked off with a presentation on all the success stories and events that had occured over the last year including Dee Weiner winning medals and being selected to play for Great Britain in the Special Olympics, Autumn Reed being our youngest ever player to be selected for England Squad training, to Sarah Preece being selected and playing for England as well as being Devon Adult First Team captain.
The Club Captain for the Season 2025-26 was Ellie Haward and gave an amazing speech. The new club captain is Lilla Ungvari.
There was also mention of the growing adult club which now offers coaching from Graham Fagg for all adult members to join and is going very well indeed.
Nick Masson Club Chairman thanked the parents for their brilliant support of the club, the players for turning up so regularly and the dedication of the outstanding coaching team. Nick said ‘Its an honour and priviledge to be involved with such exceptional people throughout the club and is already looking forward to next years event’
